OBJECTIVE /
Engage in extensive research on any chosen topic and explore the problem in 360 degrees from how it affects society, education, the environment, politics and others. Compile the gathered data and insights into a comprehensive book while including some opportunities where design can be used to address the problem.

APPROACH /
Being an avid crafter, I explored the topic of handmade items in response to consumerism and mass-produced goods. The output, Hands On: Remembering the art of making, recounts the journey of handicraft from its historical beginnings to where it has found itself today. It encourages its readers to engage in crafting as well as supporting handmade items. Because of this topic, I bound the book myself, stitched the felt sleeve and the title in front, including other elements within the book. I also added various threads that run through the openers as well as bits of buttons and pins.
