Over the past 20 years, Linux has grown to become the world’s most widely-used software platform and the premier example of successful open source innovation. In order to keep the Linux Foundation relevant today, a brand refresh was needed.

This new brand expresses the Foundation’s important role as steward and protector – keeping the technological core of our society safe, open, and free.

This evolution seeks to keep the brand equity from the old mark, while providing more cohesiveness across all materials and platforms through a strong and unified voice. The results are a streamlined logo and identity guidelines, print and interactive brochures, general communication templates, information architecture and front end design for web properties.
