Each spring, 826 Valencia organizes a fundraising luncheon with an invited guest and this year's event was with Academy Award-nominated actress, Catherine Keener. Entitled Bookwich the theme of the event invitation was a layered sandwich with book titles representing the elements in between the bread. We wanted to capture the quirkiness of the organization while at the same time not compromising the elegance of the venue, the St. Regis Hotel, as well as the actual meal (not a sandwich!) that was to be served. It was designed in a vertical, bi-fold format inspired by a restaurant menu.
