I ended my 9-month internship at 826 Valencia with the wondeful and amazing opporunity to be the lead designer for their annual spring fundraiser last May 18th at the St.Regis Hotel. The spring luncheon, Bookwich, with special guest Katherine Keener, raised over $108,000 through donors, volunteers and sponsors. Its proceeds will go to activites and student programming for schools throughout San Francisco, in order to help students with their writing and to promote the literary arts.

We've gone mobile! I helped design the iphone/ipod touch East End App where one can now access the site anywhere and more importantly, on the go. This app will clue you in on the movers, shakers, and events that you should know of, in the region.

I have now embarked on my journey in working on my MFA thesis project. I'm currently busy refining my topic, weeding out the unnecessary elements and making the beginning stage slowly come together. To give you a gist, my thesis is about "providing a livelihood opportunity for T'boli women, who are part of an indigenous group of people living in poverty within a remote area in Southern Philippines. My aim is to help stimulate the waning production of the T'nalak which is a traditional cloth that the women weave by making it more marketable and acessible from their isolated region. This will empower the women by allowing them to provide additional family income as well as help safeguard their age-old tradition which is also a part of Philippine culture." Wish me luck and let the adventure begin! (Photography by www.ironwulf.net)

Im proud to say that a recent project that I'm a part of has started bearing some fruit. A few friends of mine have recently launched a website called the East End where we showcase the best DJs, acts and gigs around Asia. We did not expect to get a lot of support early at this stage given that it's a specialty site, but like any good thing, secrets don't last very long. If you ever find yourselves in our neck of the woods be sure to check us out or tune
in to the East End podcast that we showcase every fortnight.

After what seemed to be an extremely long and unplanned "break," I'm officially back in school. This schoolyear seems to be a promising one since I've surprisingly received an internship opportunity at 826 Valencia under their Design Director, Maria Ines Montes. I'm definitely looking forward to this experience and to be working with everyone at the organization. AAARR MATEY!

A collective of various works by Filipinos, +63 showcases Philippine talent and creativity from graphic design, music, illustration, photography to fashion. Thank you to plus63.net for featuring my work. Maraming salamat!

I finally got my site up and running in time for me to enjoy the rest of the break. This is a compilation of the projects I've done at The Academy of Art University as well as my personal and comissioned illustrations.

After a long and busy spring semester, summer break has finally arrived. While I try and juggle some midpoint brainstorming and preparation I will be building up my site. There's nothing much to see right now, but check back in a few weeks when I get things done.
